1. Privacy policy

We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Star Visa Consultants is the Data Fiduciary for the data you share with us.

What we collect

Through the website: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, the service and destination you are interested in. When you become a client: passport and identity details, academic and work records, test scores, financial documents, photographs and other documents an embassy or university asks for.

Why we use it

Only to respond to your enquiry, assess your profile, and prepare and file your applications with universities, embassies, visa application centres and test bodies. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.

Consent

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the enquiry form or sign our service agreement. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to the Grievance Officer below. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, but we may be unable to continue your application.

Who we share it with

Universities and colleges, embassies and consulates, visa application centres (such as VFS Global), language test providers, and, if you ask, banks or loan partners. Some of these are outside India; we share only what each application requires. When you submit the enquiry form, your details are sent to us by email and, if you choose, through WhatsApp (Meta). We use them only to respond to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details: up to 12 months if you do not become a client. Client files: for the duration of your application and up to 3 years after, unless a law requires longer. After that it is deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to access a summary of your data, correct or complete it, have it erased, withdraw consent, nominate a person to act for you, and raise a grievance. If we do not resolve your grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

For applicants under 18, we collect data only with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Security & breaches

Documents are stored with access limited to the staff handling your file. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, this section will be updated.

2. Terms of service

By using this website or our services you agree to these terms. The full scope, fees and timelines for each client are set out in a written service agreement, which takes precedence over this page.

You agree to give true, complete and genuine documents. We will not submit documents we believe are false. Submitting forged documents is a criminal offence and can lead to a visa ban; we will end our services if we find any.

Government, embassy, university, test and courier fees are paid by you and are separate from our service fee. All fees are quoted in Indian rupees and include applicable GST.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Karnal, Haryana have jurisdiction, without affecting your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

3. Disclaimer

No guarantee of visas or admissions. Visas are granted only by the embassy or immigration authority of each country, and admissions only by universities. We prepare and guide; we do not decide outcomes and do not promise approval.

Not a government body. We are a private consultancy, not affiliated with any embassy, government or university unless stated.

Overseas jobs. We do not sell jobs. Recruitment for overseas employment in India may only be done by recruiting agents registered with the Protector General of Emigrants, Ministry of External Affairs. Check any agent at emigrate.gov.in.

Information on this site is general and indicative. Immigration rules change often; we confirm current requirements at your evaluation.

4. Fees, refunds & cancellation

Profile evaluation is free. Every paid service is quoted in writing before you pay, and every payment receives a receipt.

Fees paid to third parties (embassies, VFS, universities, test bodies) follow those bodies’ own refund rules and are not refundable by us.

All fees are non-refundable once services have commenced. Fees paid for services not yet started may be refunded at Star Visa Consultants’ discretion, less any costs already incurred.

5. Grievance redressal

For privacy requests, complaints or any concern about our services, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days.
